Erin Go Bragh Vince Hancock, August 17, 2011 Hi every one. It is with a heavy heart that I am writing this on my last night in Ireland. This country has left a sizeable impression on me and although I am pushing forward to beautiful Wales in the morning, I am reluctant to let Ireland go. Since arriving in Dublin, its been a very fast paced, see what you can while you can kind of thing. Today we had breakfast and then met up with a local guide named Padric. he took us on a walking tour of Dublin and gave us some of the history of certain areas, monuments etc. It was a great walk and mother nature sure was good to us. The tour ended at the Guinness brewery where we took in a tour and sampled the product. The tour ended in the sky lounge which is a glass room atop the brewery with a 360 degree view of Dublin. It was packed with people from all over the world having a good time. From there, a few of us wandered off and walked around for a bit, then took in lunch. I finally had my Irish stew IN Ireland. It was very tasty. That led to more walking around, some shopping and back to the hotel for a quick rest and freshen up. The same group of the day then met up and we went out for a nice dinner back down in the Temple Bar area. We then wandered the city for a while (Dublin is beautiful at night) and then headed back to my hotel room for a get together. Now, here I am, filling you all in on today’s events before bed while at the same time, trying not to think about tomorrows inevitable departure of Ireland. I have enjoyed my time here, i’ve seen more that I can explain, met wonderful new people (both locals and on the tour) and been given that wonderful experience of scratching yet one more country on the very long bucket list. However with this country, I know I will return! Erin Go Bragh (Ireland Forever) Blog
